On October 5th, Filipino singer Charice held a surprise event titled “Special ‘One Day’ Free Live” at Shinjuku Square Garden.Source: Tokyo Hive, Nikkan Sports
Despite the pouring rain, around 1,000 fans turned up to watch Charice perform five songs off of her second album, “∞ (Infinity)”. She called out to her fans, “Thank you for gathering here amidst the rain. Please enjoy it.” During the performance of her new song, “One Day“, 4 dancers who were chosen out of 400 people to join her on stage.
Charice’s first self-titled album ranked 8th in the Billboard’s Top 200 Album Chart. She has also gained popularity in Japan, selling over 200,000 copies of the album. Her second album features “Final Fantasy 8” theme song, “New World“, and “Bull Doctor” theme song, “Far As The Sky“. On October 19th and 20th, Charice is scheduled to appear at “DAVID FOSTER AND FRIENDS JAPAN TOUR 2011” at Tokyo International Forum.
